Recently i was hunting around on the internet for some new cool ethical business which i could bring to peoples attention and i ran into Dilga organics. The business is run by Paul who has created a company that sources and sells a large range of vegan and preservative free wines and beers. Give them a visit at there neat little webstore. www.dilgaorganics.com.au.

I asked Paul a few quick questions about the company and heres what he had to say.

Rocket: Tell me how Dilga got started, what made you start down this road?

Paul: Our passion for organic, preservative-free, vegan wines all started with a trip to the shops. We were on the hunt for great tasting wines, without any artificial additives or preservatives, and without animal products. But we found it really tough to find anything that had great taste and great price tags - without the hidden nasty ingredients found in most wines.
So the second hunt began - where to find the wines that matched what we were looking for. After a long search we were successful and now Dilga Organics is able to to offer high calibre Australian wines that come from winemakers who not only love wine, but also look after their land using organic and bio-dynamic growing practices and land management principles."

Rocket: What do you see as the 'Mission' or main purpose of Dilga?

Paul: Our mssion at Dilga Organics is to offer high quality and healthy Australian wines grown using organic and bio-dynamic growing practices and land management principles. Our selection of wines care for you, our animal-comrades and ultimately the environment which nurtures and loves us

EthiCool: www.ethicool.com.au

Recently i've come across a cool new business called EthiCool on the net. The business is run by Suzanne Dean and has the aim of helping out artisan and craft makers in disadvantaged countries turn there skills into a viable income. What i love about this business is it's a real grass roots personal reaction to seeing a messed up situation. On seeing local crafts people doing in hard in countries like vietnam and africa Suzanne decided she could help by getting them more customers who were willing to pay them the price they need to get a living wage. Her website has lots of great fashion and gift products. If you're thinking of getting someone a fair-trade, no-sweatshop gift have a swing past the site and have a look around. Also all the products have a story about the people and project that make them.

Business and ethics aren't two mutually exclusive ideas. Businesses can be tools to promote and push a good cause or idea. entrepreneurship isn't just about making money but creating new projects and ventures and having explosively good ideas. Here are some of my thoughts, rants and under researched opinions.
